Volunteers started PADCA in 1948 and have played a pivotal role in growing the organisation ever since. Today over 200 volunteers are active in all aspects of its service including the governance of the organisation.
Non profit organisations are defined by the contributions of their volunteers, and PADCA's vision is met in large part by our volunteers who assist in making the difference in the lives of older people. Working together with permanent professional staff, volunteers extend the services we provide, enabling seniors to fulfill their roles in society for as long as possible.
We also pay tribute to all the residents in our various homes who volunteer their services, assisting in the day to day operations and in the arranging and running of activities for fellow residents.
